Best Tacos at the Jersey Shore

Tacos are a trendy food right now, especially mash-ups like tropi-cali or tex-mex. So where are some of the best places to get tacos at the Jersey Shore?

Monmouth County:

1.MOGO- with two locations in Asbury Park, on the Boardwalk and Cookman Ave, MOGO is the place to go if you love asian and tacos. Their Korean Fusion menu includes meat, fish and even tofu. Definitely a good spot if you're feeling like trying something outside the box!

2. Pop's Garage- located on the Boardwalk in Asbury Park and in Shrewsbury. Margaritas, tacos and the best chimichangas I have ever had. There is seating both inside and out on the boardwalk. Definitely worth the drive from my house in Toms River! Not in Monmouth County? Check out their sister, Labrador Lounge, in Normandy Beach.

Monmouth and Ocean County:

1. Surf Taco- Always a local favorite. Burritos, tacos, salads, smoothies. You name it, they have it. Whether you're in the mood for a fish taco, or a tropical smoothie. It's Mexican food with a tropical vibe. They have their famous home-made salsa bar and 10 locations throughout the shore from Belmar all the way to Ship Bottom.

2. Fins- is another local favorite with what they call "tropicali cuisine." With locations in Bradley Beach and Sea Girt in Monmouth County and Brick in Ocean County they've got tacos, burritos, 'finchilladas' and more!  I'm still trying to work my way through their menu.

3. Bubbakoo's Burritos- They have six different types of chicken alone. Need I say more? Made- to- order tacos, burritos, salads with any or all toppings of your choice. They have locations in Monmouth and Ocean County and even a brand new spot in New Brunswick for Rutgers students who crave Jersey Shore tacos.

4. Chipotle- With locations all over the country, Chipotle doesn't find its roots at the Jersey Shore. However, if you're looking for a burrito or bowl made right in front of you with as many ingredients as will fit for one price, Chipotle is always a good choice!
