Bigger Stimulus Payments Could Be Delivered By This Weekend In New Jersey
I know there are quite a few of us that take a deep breath before walking to the mailbox, afraid of the bills that are waiting. OK, maybe that description aged me a bit, I should have said, there are quite a few of us who take a deep breath before we look at our online bank account. Bills are deducted and you may or may not be able to replenish things. It's not for lack of trying, but it hurts just the same. This has been a brutal year and the economy is suffering because the individuals are suffering. Well, I want to send you into the weekend with the good news that a third stimulus check is coming as soon as this Saturday. The amount is also higher than the other checks, by a lot.
On Thursday, President Biden signed a $1.9 trillion relief package into law in hopes of getting our economy back on track. Some checks or direct deposits could get to us in New Jersey as early as this Saturday and it will be for a higher amount than the other two checks. How much are we talkin’? $1,400 per person AND for each dependent, so if you are a family of four, you would get $5,600 dollars.
They will also be extending the $300 weekly emergency unemployment benefits into early September. You can also expect expanded tax credits over the next year for children, their child care and family leave. First lady Jill Biden will be in Burlington County, New Jersey on Monday to help promote the new $19 trillion COVID stimulus law. I hope this news helps you rest easier. Brighter days are on the way, I can feel it.
