Bike auction Saturday in Monmouth's Ocean Township

Bicycles that have piled up at police headquarters in Monmouth County's Ocean Township go to bidders, at an auction this Saturday in Joe Palaia Park.

The June 3 sale takes place in the middle driveway of the park on Whalepond Road, police said, adding it takes place rain or shine.

The two-wheelers are recovered, unclaimed property. Bikes remain on display from 9 AM until 10 AM. The auction begins at 10 and continues until 12 Noon.

If you're planning to bid and buy, be sure to have cash, or money orders. Police said those are the two forms of payment that they willl accept.
