Bradley Beach Love Stories
People who met and fell in love in Bradley Beach are invited to share their stories on a special website and at a wonderful event this Sunday.
Anthony and Vera are just one of many couples who met and fell in love in Bradley Beach. Here's their story...and read on to find out how you can take part in telling your story and attending a special event this Sunday.
On a summer day a few years ago, Anthony and several others were in a room next to the bar area of Uva's Restaurant (which he owns along with his mother) discussing how to better utilize a certain area of the restaurant.
All of a sudden Anthony's mom walked into the room and, as quietly as an Italian mother could say, she said "Anthony, your wife is here!" Anthony peered through an opening into the bar area and saw a beautiful woman there. He was shocked to think that his mom was right! Anthony smiled and went right over to talk to Vera, who someone had hired to train for a waitress position there!
To this day, Anthony and his mom don't even know who was responsible for hiring Vera, but the rest is history and now Vera and Anthony are married and have a precious little girl.
Now the Bradley Beach Chamber of Commerce has come up with just the thing to fight the February blues. They are celebrating Bradley Beach love stories with an event that they are calling "Over the Moon, Under the Boardwalk: Love Stories from Bradley Beach."
Generations of people have experienced first love or met the love of their life in Bradley Beach. The history of Bradley Beach is full of sweet, salty, and sentimental stories of young love. If you are one of those stories, you can share it in two ways.
