Dave Portnoy is an entrepreneur and media personality best known as the founder of Barstool Sports.

Barstool started in print, covering sports betting and fantasy sports.

Now, it's an entirely online platform and a big one.

Portnoy is outspoken and often controversial on social media.

He tends to tone it down for his famous "One Bite" pizza reviews, where he rates pizzas from various pizzerias.

Dave has tasted thousands of pizzas worldwide and has assisted many pizza joints that have fallen on hard times.

Portnoy visited us in Monmouth and Ocean counties, stopping by some well-known Shore pizza joints.

What did Dave think of a Martell's boardwalk slice?

Portnoy also stopped by Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk pizza rival Joey Tomato's.

Both got similar ratings from Dave. Martell's scored a solid 7.1, while Joey Tomato's pulled in 6.9.
