Love is alive and well in New Jersey, especially when it comes to marriages for area residents who are 30 or younger, according to a recent study.

As a matter of fact, the Garden State came within fractions of a percentage point of being the state with the lowest divorce rate by 30 in the entire country. For the record, we officially are the 2nd lowest in America.

New Jersey's divorce rate by 30 is an incredibly low 5.34%. The only state with a lower rate was New York, which came in at 4.97%. By comparison, Arkansas had the highest rate of divorce by 30, with a whopping 19.48%, well over 3 times the rate in New Jersey.

The results, reported at zippia.com also listed Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts to round out the 5 states with the lowest divorce rates by 30 so the northeast did very well.

I'm an old school romantic, and I think love and romance don't get the credit they deserve, so these results warm my heart. Love is alive at the Jersey Shore and all over the Garden State!
