Just a heads up that there will be TWO DWI checkpoints at the Jersey Shore during Labor Day weekend.

The first is happening in Keyport and will start at 10:00 PM on Friday night and will last until 2:00 AM on Saturday morning.

It is going to be held on  Route 36 and the plan is to have police officers conduct sobriety tests on random drivers as they head southbound.

The second is happening in Wall and will start at 10:00 PM on Saturday night and will last until 2:00 AM on Sunday morning.

It is going to be held on Route 138 and the plan is to have police officers conduct sobriety tests on random drivers as they head westbound.

If you spot a dangerous drive, call #477 to make a report. They will ask you for a description of the car, the people in it, its location and the direction they were headed and the license plate number.

Remember to always driver sober because otherwise, you are putting yourself and the others around you in serious danger.

There are so many other options: Uber, Lyft, taxi, designated driver or walk (if able).
