Found Emaciated in Neptune: Let’s Show Him What Love Is
Let's please show this sweet boy that he won't ever be neglected again.
Our Point Pet of the Week is Odie, a 2-year-old, 61-pound Pittie-mix. He was found in Neptune emaciated and covered in fleas. The Monmouth County SPCA says it appeared he had been neglected and possibly living outside for awhile.
This poor boy deserves to know what love is. After everything he has been through, he is still friendly, loves his toys and treats, and loves going on walks with his friends. He is just adorable!
But poor Odie was having a hard time at the shelter so the MCSPCA has been able to send him to a wonderful foster home to wait for a permanent adoption. There he's been able to relax, put on some weight, and learn what it's like to feel loved.
Odie is enjoying getting to snuggle on the couch and having a companion. Odie would love a home as an only dog with someone who is around a lot so he never has to be lonely.
If you are interested in learning more about Odie, please call the Monmouth County SPCA and ask to speak with an adoption counselor so that they can arrange to bring him to the shelter for an appointment to meet you!
