Kirsten Corley's heart is with Covenant House and raising money to shelter young people. Here's how you can help her.

The Covenant House's Young Professionals Sleepout, which 24-year old Kirsten is taking part in, will take place on March 24th...and, if you're brave enough, you can join her. She will sleep on the streets of Newark (for the third time!) with only a box and a sleeping bag.

But there's something coming up even sooner that Kirsten wants to invite you to, as she works tirelessly to raise money for Covenant House, which recently got approval for a building in Asbury Park!

Kirsten has moved from Freehold to NYC, but that doesn't stop her from wanting to help Monmouth County residents who are down on their luck. She is trying to raise money and awareness, recruit volunteers, and do anything she can to help.

So she, along with her co-hosts Manus Mullanaphy and Patrick Rafferty, are throwing a party called the "Covenant House 2nd Annual Birthday Bash for a Cause" this Friday night, March 10th, 8 pm at Asbury Ale House (531 Cookman Ave.) Kirsten is celebrating her 25th birthday by asking for donations instead of gifts, so she is opening this party to anyone (21+) in our area who would like a night out and can make a donation at the door. In exchange for your donation, you will get a raffle ticket for a chance at tickets to a Devils home game.

You can get your tickets in one of two ways: You can either buy them at the door (she is asking for $10-$20 donations) or you can donate to Kirsten's page and she will have your name on a list. CLICK HERE and CLICK HERE!

If paying by check at the door, you can make it out to Covenant House. Or you can make a cash donation.

Covenant House currently serves 50,000+ homeless youth in 30 cities, and is 80% privately funded. They shelter hundreds of young people every night. Some of the services provided at the shelters include health care, mentoring programs, counseling, prep for GED and Mother/child programs.

In 2016, Kirsten raised $10,000 for Covenant House between the Sleepout, the NY Half AND Full Marathons, and she visited Covenant House's International shelter for trafficked youth in Guatemala. So join Kirsten in her quest to solve youth homelessness!
