
Great Adventure Roller Coaster Named Best in the World
The Golden Ticket Awards from Amusement Today were handed out and a roller coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure has been named best in the world!
El Toro picked up the 2012 award for the "World's Best Wooden Roller Coaster." This is El Toro's first award. It came in 3rd last year.
The coaster features a 4,400 feet of track and begins with a 188-foot lift hill before plummeting riders down a 176-foot drop at 76 degrees. During the ride, coaster riders reach a speed of 70 mph at some points.
