Everyone wants a good job, but can you guess which job is the most sought after one in New Jersey? We now have an answer.

The website Go Banking Rates did some research to determine which job tops the list as the most wanted job in New Jersey, and you'll likely need a ladder to find these workers. Want to take a guess?

We'll end the suspense. The top, most wanted job in the Garden State is solar photovoltaic installer. In less formal terms, that's the person who assembles, installs, and maintains solar panel systems.

The average salary of a solar PV installer is just north of $55,000 and the projected growth of this job is 101% for the period from 2006 to 2026, and according to the research In 2018 there were already close to 10,000 solar PV installers in our state.

Solar PV installers landed in the top spot in New York as well, but there, the annual average salary is lower ($48,630), and in Pennsylvania, the most wanted job, statistician, pulled in an average salary of over $85,000.

Go Banking Rates used data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics to determine the results in this study.
