It is so sad when a family pet is dropped off at a shelter because the family is too busy to care for it. Breaks my heart every time.

Our Point Pet of the Week is Adonis, a two-year old who looks like a Terrier mix. His last family didn't have enough time for him so they brought him to a shelter.

Now the wonderful volunteers at the Monmouth County SPCA are making time for him, playing with him every day. And he LOVES it -- especially when he gets to play with other dogs.

It would be great if he could find a forever home, possibly with other dogs, with a family that has the time to play with this active boy who has lots of energy.

Adonis is very sweet and will give out lots of kisses to his friends, which he makes easily! And not only is he beautiful, but he is smart, too, and knows his basic commands. He continues to learn new things each day, especially when he is motivated with yummy treats!

Adonis is staying at the Eatontown MCSPCA, 260 Wall Street, and you can see him 7 days a week from Noon to 5 pm.

Also, the MCSPCA will be holding a clinic next Saturday, October 24th, from 8:30 am to Noon. No appointments needed. Protect your dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens by getting them vaccinated!
