Do you have your credentials ready to report a closing or delay due to snow? If you haven't had to use Stormwatch yet this season, you may want to refresh yourself on how to do so.

If your school or organization is planning on closing because of the impending snow, or if you need to cancel or delay an event, get the word out with Stormwatch. It's your way to connect with Monmouth and Ocean Counties to convey important information during stormy weather.

Here's a Q&A with Stormwatch expert Dan Alexander with all the info you will need:

Q: Who should have Stormwatch credentials?

A: Whoever will be the person to log into the special website to report a status. It's also good to share with a backup person so you're covered in case of vacation or if the internet is out. You can also report via your phone or tablet.

Q: What are the credentials needed?

A: Just your email address. You'll get a password from Stormwatch and then you're all set.

Q: How does an organization get the credentials?

A: There's a form on the Stormwatch page to fill out. Or, call Dan Alexander at 609-359-5358.

Q: How do you go about reporting a closure or delay?

A: You will go to a special website to report your status. It's NOT the main radio station website or linked from there. Also, the radio station is not staffed to take closing and delay info over the phone so that's another reason you need your credentials ahead of time.

Q: How much time is left to get set up for tomorrow's snow?

A: You can check on your current account today or sign up for a new, free account.

Q: Can a closure or delay be reported any time, 24/7?

A: This special Stormwatch site is always available. It will take about 5 minutes for your report to appear.

Q: How do you do a practice run, or a test closure?

A: Log into your account and you can do a test closure. Then, check the website to see your test closure.

Q: Who do I contact for more info? You can email Dan Alexander: dan.alexander@townsquaremedia.com or call him: 609-359-5358.

TWO MORE THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT STORMWATCH:

1. An email was sent back on Aug. 22nd, 2016, to all participating organizations with credentials. Check your spam folder if you can't find it.

2. Credentials don't change from year to year. Last year's log in is this year's log in.
