You may have seen his food truck out and about, but to sit down and eat it fresh from the griddle at his adorable little restaurant...complete with a 'show' by Johnny is the bomb!

My son Ben and I decided to grab a quick bite at Johnny's Pork Roll and Coffee Too, #8A Monmouth St. in Red Bank, and little did we know we'd be entertained by Johnny himself the entire time!

I don't know if Johnny is there every time, but we got lucky. If you haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting him, he has a personality larger than life. He's a born showman that makes some of the most mouth-watering sandwiches you will ever try.

From his Pork Roll Grilled Cheese (Ben's favorite) to the Pork Roll Reuben (my favorite), to fresh, pour-over Asbury Roastery's coffee (how many restaurants actually also serve GREAT coffee??!!) we just love stopping by Johnny's place for breakfast or lunch.

The atmosphere is cozy and reminds me of an old-fashioned joint with only a small countertop and a few stools (most people get their pork roll sammies to go), with Johnny throwing you Swedish fish or stickers while slinging pork roll (don't call it Taylor Ham in front of Johnny if you know what's good for you, lol!)

See ya soon, Johnny. Thanks for the amazing lunch....and the fun conversation. You, too, will think Johnny already knew who you were and was your long-time buddy the second you walk in the door :)
