Intense Overnight Winds Cause Outages Throughout Area

The Jersey Shore was battered with intense winds through the overnight hours that have caused roadway issues and power outages throughout the Jersey Shore.

Several roads in the area were subject to closure due to downed trees, branches and debris, and JCP&L is reporting thousands of power outages in Monmouth & Ocean Counties.

As of the time of this report, here are the number of customers experiencing outages in the area, according to the JCP&L Power Outage Map.

Monmouth County...4492

Ocean County...2571

Monmouth County currently has more outages than any other county, according to JCP&L. Outages in the area are scattered everywhere from Keyport to Toms River.
