There has certainly never been a more important time to support local businesses, especially those who have been there for us during the toughest of times. Today the spotlight falls on Butler Pharmacy in Point Pleasant.

In this particular case, there is a two-tiered reason for the spotlight. Not only has Butler Pharmacy been serving the community for decades, but they were there for the community during the toughest days of the pandemic providing crucial services and deliveries to countless are residents who had no other way to get their supplies and medications.

To the staff there, and to all the workers in local pharmacies, and throughout the health care profession, we owe a debt of gratitude we can most likely never repay.

So, just how long has Butler Pharmacy been super serving the community? According to their website, it all started in 1955 when Edward A. Butler opened the doors for the first time.

Norman Beyer took over ownership from 1970 through 2016, when it was taken over by Beyer's daughter, Tracye Beyer Steel who owns Butler and runs it with her son Benjamin Steel.

The entire crew at Butler Pharmacy is a pleasure to deal with, and you can rely on them for anything from critical health information to a beautiful gift, card or any health supplies you might need.

Let's all remember, this is a crucial time for all of us to be supporting local businesses, and when you come across one like Butler Pharmacy, which has been there for us in so many ways at such critical times, it's a no brainer.

I love Butler Pharmacy and feel very fortunate they are in my town. Thanks guys for all you do for our community!
