Do you know what's going on in the basement of Monmouth Mall? For one thing, there's a TV studio down there!

SCAN  is a Social Community Activities Network. Its headquarters is in the basement of Monmouth Mall (just take the stairs near Johnny Rockets), and they have a TV station down there, too!

Their TV show is called Community Connections. And it is produced in a very impressive 3-camera state-of-the-art TV studio and control room and distributed to cable TV in Monmouth and Ocean Counties including Cablevision, Comcast, and FiOS. You can see it worldwide on their You Tube channel. For a list of channels, CLICK HERE.

The show is hosted by Tom Hayes of NJNG, a friend of our morning show, so Lou and I recently taped an episode that will run in December. If you heard us talking about it on our morning show, then you'll be able to see just how uncomfortable it was for us to have to sit RIGHT NEXT to each other when our episode airs.

The show is run by the TV Production class students, and they are top notch and serious about their work and producing a great show, directed by Charles Burke, who guides and respects his students as any great leader should.

You'll be hearing more about when our episode will air, and more behind-the-scenes antics from our appearance, in the weeks to come. So stay tuned!
