Our Point Pet of the Week has had a couple of rough starts but we still have faith that he can find a Forever Home!

Petey came to the MCSPCA as an owner surrender by a Freehold family who only had him for about a month. He was found by this family as a stray in Staten Island a few weeks earlier. The family says he was fine with their 5 cats -- but was not always getting along with their other dog, so they brought Petey to the shelter to find a new home.

Petey is a Terrier mix who looks to be about 4 years old. He can be a little timid when you first meet him but he warms up quickly and, in fact, can be quite the ladies' man. This handsome boy has been making so many new friends at the shelter. He enjoys snuggling and climbing onto laps (if he can fit!)

Petely loves to play, and tennis balls are his absolute favorite. He is such a beauty and will win you over with one look. Petey walks well on leash and knows many commands like 'sit,' 'stay,' and 'come.' He can even catch treats and balls in the air!

If you'd like to meet Petey, come to the Eatontown location of the MCSPCA at 260 Wall Street. For adoption hours and more info, CLICK HERE. If you'd like to talk to an adoption counselor about Petey, call 732-542-4552 or email adoptions@monmouthcountyspca.org.
