Monmouth County Sets Up Donation and Distribution Points

Monmouth County Sheriff Shawn Golden called our show this morning to announce these locations for those in need of supplies and for those who can make donations:

There is now a Central Collection Point set up at Thompson Park. They are collecting donations of water, non-perishables, socks, clothing, blankets, batteries, flashlights, and whatever else you can spare.

There are three Distribution Centers now in place for those in need of food, water, and ice:

For those living along the Bayshore to Atlantic Highlands you can pick up supplies in Union Beach at Holy Family Church, including meals-ready-to-eat.

For those in Sea Bright to Allenhurst, you can pick up supplies at Monmouth Park Racetrack.

For those in Asbury Park to Brielle, you can get suppplies at the Manasquan Circle Outlet (Peddlar's Village) on the Manasquan Circle and Atlantic Avenue.

The Sheriff says he hopes that by this afternoon a charging station will be set up at the Squan Circle Outlet as well...and he is also hoping to make the distribution centers mobile at some point if possible.
