New Jersey Singer Gets Standing Ovation From American Idol Judges
The new run of American Idol is only a couple of episodes old, and a New Jersey singer has already made a big impact.
During last night's episode, we got to meet Mara Justine, a 15 year old singer from Galloway Township, who did just about as well as anyone could for her American Idol audition.
Justine was so good, she received a standing ovation from Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan and Katy Perry. Her performance prompted Perry to predict that Justine would make Idol's top 10.
The new version of Idol, in my opinion, has exceeded all expectations so far, and Bryan, Perry and Richie have an undeniable chemistry and have shown they can be constructive, funny and emotional, which is welcome news, I think, to all Idol fans.
So we already have someone to root for in the Hollywood rounds of American Idol. Congratulations to Mara Justine, and good luck the rest of the way!
