There Is Way Less Stress in New Jersey Than You Thought There Would Be
There are a lot of things you might see over the course of a day here in New Jersey. Usually, a good dose of patience is not one of them. And the experts are about to tell us just how much our patience is tested here in the Garden State.
Believe it or not, every state in the entire nation was ranked for its level of stress by the website WalletHub, and if you've lived in New Jersey for any substantial amount of time, you're probably not too optimistic about our results for this one.
You might not need science or data to confirm your belief that New Jersey is not a very patient state. All you need is a car and a set of keys.
If you want to know how patient New Jersey is, just drive your car to the nearest stop light and don't floor it the second the light switches to green. Then count the milliseconds until someone behind you lays on their horn. That's all you need to know.
But if you need further proof that we are stressed, then that's where the experts come in. This study used four areas of stress to compile its findings, and they were stress related to health, family, money, and work.
When you add it all up, it turns out that your instinct about the New Jersey stress level was about as wrong as mine was.
It turns out we are not really stressed at all here in the Garden State, ranking as the 44th most stressed state, or as the optimist would say, we are the 6th least stressed state in America Tell that to the guy behind me at the green light.
