There is one list that New Jersey didn't make, and when you find out what it is, you won't be happy about it.
There are very few things that New Jersey residents are more proud of than the gorgeous beach towns in the Garden State.
No New Jersey Towns Are On The Best East Coast Beach Towns List?
We would put these towns up against any beach towns worldwide for beauty, family fun, and great beaches and boardwalks.
That's why it may surprise you that a collection of the best beach towns to live in on the East Coast was published by the website Stacker, and something seems to be missing.
Two words do not appear on the list of the 25 best places to live on the East Coast. Those words are "New" and "Jersey".
Which Beach Towns Made The List?
Let me say that again. There are no New Jersey beach towns on this list, and that has to be shocking to most New Jersey residents.

The town that tops the list is North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina followed by Boca Raton, Florida, so the list is unquestionably strong.
But what about Wildwood, Cape May, Point Pleasant, Seaside, and Spring Lake, just to name a few?
Here's Why New Jersey Didn't Make The List
It may have something to do with the fact that affordability and economics are two of the factors used in determining the town rankings.
The New Jersey numbers in these categories could drop you out of the top 25 in a hurry, and they probably did.
Other categories included education and health rank, which are both generally strong categories for New Jersey towns, and safety rank.
Rounding out the top three on the list are (#5) Jupiter, Florida, at #4 Vero Beach, Florida, and the number three beach town Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
