Our good friends at Coastal Habitat shared a great story (and AWESOME idea!) about a couple who decided, before their wedding, to take their bridal party on a volunteer mission in Asbury Park.

Kim Sambade, the Event & Volunteer Coordinator for Coastal Habitat, tells us about this awesome engaged couple and what they chose to do in lieu of a bachelor/bachelorette party:

Last weekend Esha & Raj decided they wanted to host a team building event as a way to celebrate their upcoming wedding with their bridal party, family and friends. Coastal Habitat was holding a Love Your Neighbor day and the wedding party decided to join in. They all grabbed paint brushes and gave the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County a fresh coat of paint!

This wonderful couple are getting married this Sunday. What an incredible way to start their journey.

The couple (he's a dentist and she's in account management) said they really wanted to give back in Asbury Park. Ultimately 22 people (parents, siblings, extended family, the wedding party and some close friends) traveled from various locations in New Jersey to meet, work and celebrate while helping others in Asbury Park. I absolutely love this idea...and this couple...and all of their family and friends for showing up to give back!

Kim says that many groups come out to Coastal Habitat to join in on team building projects. They encourage YOU to muster a group and reach out to create an event for your team!
