Precious Senior Dog Needs a Home

Meet our Point Pet of the Week. Juelz is 8 and-a-half years old and needs a new family to love him.

This Terrier mix came to the Monmouth County SPCA after his family had to move and couldn't take him with them. He had been with his family for his whole life, so being in a shelter is new for him. But he loves his shelter friends who are keeping him company until he finds a new home.

Don't let his age fool you...Juelz loves to play and can run circles around many of his younger companions. He really loves toys of all kinds and enjoys a game of fetch or tug with his friends.

Juelz has a studious side, too. He knows all of his basic commands and then some. He is a respectful boy, as his last family taught him to not eat until he was told it's okay. So now he waits to be given the 'okay to eat' command. It's really cute.

This precious dog loves to go on walks and will carry a stick with him for his entire walk. It is a fun way to entertain himself while he is enjoying the scenery. Prior to coming to the shelter, he used to enjoy the company of a laid back canine companion but here at the shelter he finds it all to be very overwhelming and he gets frightened. So he really needs to get back into a nice, quiet home where he can relax again.

Also, join Dogtopia this Sunday, Aug. 7th, Noon - 3 pm, for a Charity Dog Wash to benefit the MCSPCA! For a $20 donation, your dog will receive a shampoo & towel dry! Relax to music by DJ Chris Cartuneo and enjoy some light refreshments while you wait. Towel donations are also appreciated for bathing and will be donated right back to the MCSPCA after the event! The event is at Dogtopia of Old Bridge, 7 Jocama Blvd., Old Bridge.
