As Lou will attest to, I hate having my photo taken. And I rarely selfie...but here's why I ended up taking this one.

If you have been following our morning show, then you know how badly I have to FIGHT with my hair in the summer. The high humidity and the ocean air cause my hair to frizz so badly that it looks like a bale of hay and feels just as dry as the straw you'd find in a barn.

My hair puffs out so badly that a normal baseball hat won't even fit on my big head. I have tried tight pony tails, braids, every product imaginable, and, lately, a large hat that has Lou picking on me because he says it makes me look like a train conductor.

So I tried a smoothing treatment. It's called Cezanne and I got it done by the amazing Chelsea at Styling Company in Belmar and the immediate difference in my hair amazed me so much that I had to try and capture it!

Through the last several days of severe humidity and beach fog/ocean air...my hair has remained perfectly smooth, shiny, and soft. It is unbelievable! Since so many listeners say they relate to this hair struggle and are wondering how it worked, I thought I'd show you how it came out.

The treatment itself took about two hours, and I could do anything I want immediately afterwards. That's not like the 'older' treatments (some of which can be quite dangerous) where you can't move your hair around for days afterwards because it has to stay perfectly straight. With those old treatments you also couldn't wash your hair for several days...or even sweat!

Now all I need is a non-sulfate shampoo! Simple!

Do you struggle with your hair in the summer? Have you tried a smoothing treatment?
