A local shoe store is offering free kicks for the kids...no tricks, no purchase necessary, just an incredibly generous business owner doing a good deed for the community.

Dean Ross owns Doc Shoppe in Red Bank (formerly in Fair Haven) a shoe haven that specializes in Doc Martens, and a handful of other brands.

Red Bank Green reports the shop's new space doesn't include room for the kid's shoes Ross had in the old inventory...so he's giving them away to local kids who need them.

They are new brand name shoes like those from Willits and Hush Puppies. They will be available for any child in Red Bank, no matter their age or where they go to school. Proof of residency will be required, (driver's license, cable bill, card from your Aunt Nancy...anything.) but that's it.

The shoes will be given away on Sunday, September 21st and September 28th, before the shop opens to the public at noon.

Ross and his employees have donated their time for this event, but they are in need of some volunteers (especially people who can speak Spanish.) If you can help, find out how to contact them by clicking HERE.

It's rare to see a business putting people before profits, and this level of generosity is such a great reminder that good people do exist. The world could use a billion more people like Dean Ross!
