The 2nd Annual River Concert is coming up, to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy.

The concert is sponsored by the Recovery Along the River Foundation, a 501(c)3 group that assists residents in the Shark River Hills section of Neptune. Surrounded on three sides by the Shark River, the area known as 'the Hills' covers less than a square mile, and saw incredible devastation from the storm.

Like many affected by Sandy, SRH residents are still trying to recover and don't have the means to do it on their own.

River Concert 2014 takes place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 31st at the SRH Municipal Marina (149 S. Riverside Dr.), rain or shine.

There will be performances by local musicians and tribute bands, with all proceeds going to Sandy relief.

Tickets are $25 for those aged 13 and up, $10 for kids aged 6-12. The ticket prices includes a commemorative mug and two drinks (for those 21+). There will be food and beverage vendors on hand as well, including some of my faves: Brandl., Jersey Shore BBQ, and 10th Ave. Burrito.
