The Jackson Jaguar Marching Band Ensemble will perform with Cee Lo Green at the Microsoft store opening at Freehold Raceway Mall this Saturday!

Jackson Memorial Band Director Bud McCormick received a call from the west cost firm handling the grand opening, asking if the band would perform with Cee Lo. Mr. McCormick readily agreed to the appearance and assembled the group of 25 talented musicians who are excited to perform and for the chance to meet Cee Lo. "He is an awesome musician," says Sam Rogalsky, a tenor sax player in the band. "I can't wait to see him live," he says.

This performance will be the second memorable appearance by the band. The Jackson Jaguar Drumline played at the funeral of Levon Helm in Woodstock, NY in April.

And the entire band will be marching in the Tournament of Roses parade in Padadena, California in January.

The band director says these are great days for the band students. They are getting unforgettable opportunities to play their music. He says this is a great real-life education for them and a testimony to what role music and the arts can play in their lives.
