We are so used to hearing the jokes, the remarks, and the stereotypes that they have pretty much become meaningless to us. But they shouldn't. People outside the Jersey Shore have a pretty negative view of the Jersey Shore and we should do something about it.

We started thinking about the things people say or believe about the Jersey Shore and came up with a list of the ones that were most ridiculous. It wasn't too difficult to come up with a bunch of them.

Some of these things are just so ridiculous that it's hard to put into words. But I'm a little sick of shrugging them off. The Jersey Shore is an elite tourist attraction, and we need to start acting like it, right?

And yet Hollywood and comedians take every opportunity to give us another cheap shot whenever they can. Here's what Hollywood and those comedians need to do. Hire a new writer. The one you're using now is out of fresh stuff.

Don't get me wrong. I can laugh at myself and I can laugh about where I live. But it better actually be funny, and it better be good-spirited, or you're going to see the "just cut off on the Parkway Lou" and he's not the best company.

We all know what we have here at the Jersey Shore, and most tourists know and love the real Jersey Shore as well. Now we just need to get the rest of the world on board.
