I was in my backyard early this weekend securing lawn furniture and decorations as the wind was whipping around me and I got the feeling.

It was the same feeling I had during Sandy. It was that feeling of helplessness and nervousness. It was the fear that people I care about may have to go through the same pain that Sandy brought just a few years ago.

After years of "that doesn't happen here", Sandy brutally erased that felling of false security. It did happen here. And now we always have to live with the fact that it could happen again.

So, when we all start hearing about the "cone of uncertainty", we all get that feeling. And those memories come back, not that they ever really left. Sandy took a left, Joaquin made a right, but the weather this weekend still did it's damage. And it reminded us all that sick Sandy feeling is unfortunately just a bad forecast away.
