Valentine's Day is one month from today, so to keep you from procrastinating and panicking at the last minute, make 2014 the year you plan ahead, and wind up giving the perfect Valentine's Day gift.

V-Day is Friday, February 14th, so sure, you can make reservations that night for your love's favorite restaurant, pre-order a beautiful flower arrangement, and even look for a shiny thing or two to bring a certain sparkly bling to (his or) her body AND eye.

Those are all perfectly acceptable gestures, and gifts most anyone would love.

This year though, go for the metaphorical gold! (It is after all, an Olympic year...)

Everyday for the next month, go out of your way to do one thing everyday to show the one you love how much you appreciate them. It doesn't matter if you are young, old, dating, engaged, married, gay, straight, man, or woman...it's something everyone can do, it doesn't have to cost a dime, and it speaks volumes to the person you care about most.

Make a conscious effort to do something everyday that shows your significant other how much they mean to you. It can be as simple as having a cup of coffee made for them when they wake up, letting them watch a show they love even if you hate it, or even saying 'I love you' if it's been too long since you said it last.

Pick the socks up off the ground, take the kids out for an hour, wash a few dishes in the sink...show the one you love just how much they mean to you.

And hey, if you're single, do one thing everyday for YOURSELF. Shower yourself with the love you deserve (not THAT love, you dirty birds) and do something to show your appreciation for your fabulous self and the things you have to be grateful for.

Valentine's Day is a celebration of love, right? Well that love shouldn't only exist for one day, and we all know that actions speak louder than words.

You have 31 days. Go love.
