We love the state we live in, but there are things we don't like about New Jersey at the same time. So, what is the worst thing about the Garden State?

We'll start by saying the answer provided by 24/7 Wall St. will surprise you. I don't say I think it will surprise you. I'm pretty sure it will because I don't think it's one of the first few things that will cross your mind.

Maybe we should start there. What are the first things that come to your mind when you think of the worst things about New Jersey? Here are the ones we hear most often:

Worst Things About NJ?

These are certainly popular things to not like about the Garden State, and if you asked most people who live here, they'd probably say one of those. But that is not what 24/7 Wall St. says is the worst thing about New Jersey.

So, what is it? They say the fact that we have the most hazardous waste sites in the nation is on top of the list of worst things about New Jersey. While, I'm pretty sure that's not something we want to think about too much, or even are aware of, that is certainly not something for us to be proud of.

The fact of the matter is that we have 114 waste sites in the state, and that is the most in America, according to 24.7 Wall St.

Here's some good news to wrap it up with. The same article says the best thing about New Jersey is we spend the most money (over $12,000 per child) in pre-K programs. No other state spends even $10,000. Investing in our children. That sounds like a good thing.
