These 3 Dogs Have Been in the Shelter Too Long

They are sweet and wonderful dogs that have been continuously overlooked at the MCSPCA for younger and cuter models. Let's get them a home for Christmas!

The puppies always get adopted so quickly...but these beautiful dogs have been waiting so long for their forever homes.

First up, pictured above, is Rocky, who has been at the shelter and in foster care for two years. He continues to search human faces for someone to fall in love and give him a forever home. He is a Terrier mix, about 2 years old, who was found, abandoned, in a crate in the woods. He can be shy at first, but he is so sweet! He gives lots of kisses and loves to cuddle.

Rocky loves other dogs and would be great with a family that has at least one other dog so that he can learn the ropes from his peers learn to become more confident. Rocky is a dog that loves to play and has lots of energy. And he knows lots of commands, so he's smart!

Next is Rojo. He is a 2-year old Terrier mix who was surrendered to the shelter by his Ocean Township family because their landlord decided he wouldn't allow pets in the home. But while he was there, Rojo was the only pet in that home and became accustomed to being an 'only' dog, so he is seeking a family where he can be the king of his castle.

Rojo is a smart boy who knows most of his basic commands and is always ready to learn more, especially if you come with a treat in hand. This handsome boy loves his friends and especially enjoys taking walks with them or having a little play time, too. He also loves to snuggle and appreciates a nice, comfy bed which he can crawl up in for a nice nap. Rojo has been known to give kisses and cuddle with his human friends, and he hopes to find a nice home that will allow him to just that.

And, last but not least, is Kane. He is a handsome, sweet and friendly 7-year old Terrier mix who came to the Monmouth County SPCA when his family could no longer care for him. Kane loves catching tennis balls in the park and his human friends. He also loves long walks and car rides. Kane is the perfect companion and adores people. It is so sad that he hasn't gotten chosen by a family.
