This Cute Dog’s Middletown Family Had to Move and Couldn’t Take Her

Our Point Pet of the Week needs a new home and family to love her.

Meet Angel, a 4-year old Terrier mix, whose family had to move and couldn't bring her.  Angel is lucky enough to be staying with a foster family through the Monmouth County SPCA until they can get her adopted.

You may notice from these photos that there is something unusual about Angel, even though she is so happy. It turns out that when Angel came to the shelter she had a limp due to an inflamed and painful front let. The doctors determined her condition was not cancerous, but they did decide to amputate her leg due to the repeated pain and discomfort.

Now Angel is fully recovered and loving life again. She is a tripod athlete who can keep up with everyone! Here is what her foster mom is saying about her:

"Angel is loving, sweet, smart, playful and wants to please. Sunspots seem to be a favorite, as is squirrel-watching by the big old wild cherry tree. She loves treats and can find them even before you hide them to play a game. Red Barn bones, the bigger the better, are her favorite way to relax. Angel's very favorite thing is being as close as caninely possible to her human. Velcro has nothing on her. She is an amazing dog. She is great in the house and the best snuggler ever -- she lies right on top of you and cuddles. Angel loves toys and squeaky balls. She loves to run and to roll around outside. Angel just loves life! She enjoys her breakfast at the beach every morning and loves to go for long walks."
