This Piece of Jenkinson’s History has been Restored!

Many years ago, Jenkinson's Boardwalk had a train ride that ran in the sand from the Inlet to the Aquarium. Jenk's has been able to track it down, buy it back, and restore it!

And it's now on display on Jenkinson's Boardwalk.

This is a piece of history and it's back where it belongs!  It's not a ride, but you can at least see it in person, instead of only in photos from days gone by.

Why was the train taken down all those years ago? Well, the maintenance and upkeep on it and the tracks was a heavy undertaking, especially since it was right on the beach. Parts became nearly impossible to find.

But it sure is nice to see it back where it belongs and fixed up so nicely!

Now if Asbury Park could do the same with that old carousel....
