This Playful Hound Needs a Forever Home
Meet Brutis, our Point Pet of the Week...who was returned to the shelter because the family that took him home decided he was too big for their small apartment.
Brutis is 3 1/2 years old Hound mix. He originally came from an overcrowded shelter in South Carolina. He was adopted but returned because he was a little too active for his new family. About two weeks later he was adopted but returned again after just one day when his owners felt he was just too big for their apartment once they brought him inside.
This overlooked dog loves other dogs and would enjoy a playful canine sibling so they can be active together. He is a fun-loving beauty who enjoys car rides and walks in the park. He can be a little shy at times when you first meet him but he is quite the lover boy once he gets to know you. He will lean in to get pet and give lots of kisses.
Brutis has been lucky enough to get a couple of sleepovers with some of the volunteers at the Monmouth County SPCA who describe him as a playful joy to have around. They say he will look to be a little mischievous at first but as soon as he tires himself out he is a perfect gentleman who will snuggle up for a nice, long nap.
This smart dog is such a happy, playful boy! He needs to find a home that will last forever. So if you are interested in meeting him, go to the Eatontown location at 260 Wall Street. CLICK HERE for hours or call 732-542-4552 or email adoptions@monmouthcountyspca.org.
