New Jersey is a very food-centric state. We love to eat, and we love to drink our coffee, but how much do we consume each day?

How Much Food Does New Jersey Eat Each Day?

I went down the rabbit hole a bit on this one. I wanted to understand the amount of food New Jersey residents consume daily, and I thought the best place to start was with the two foods we seem to love the most.

I thought if we could understand how many bagels and how much pizza New Jersey residents eat each day, we might get an idea about the bigger picture.

Let's start with the pizza. Experts estimate the number of slices New Jersey consumes each day is a mind-boggling 3 million slices. Yes, that's in a day. That works out to 1 slice each for one in three people living in the state - and that's each day.

How Many Bagels Do New Jersey Residents Eat Each Day?

We do nearly just as much damage with another of our favorites, bagels. New Jersey residents eat over 2 million of them each day. That's a lot of carbs!

I felt like if we needed to know how many bagels we eat, the next logical search would be to find out how many cups of coffee we drink.

You might want to sit down for this. In the course of a normal day, it is estimated that the residents of New Jersey drink more than 12 million cups of coffee, and somehow we're all still tired.
