When the hurricane hit, we immediately turned to the people we knew could help those in need, help us get to our homes and help us get the power back on. When they arrived we treated them like heroes, and they were. And now is a time to remember what truly amazing heroes our veterans are.

Think about the amazing bravery of fellow citizens who routinely put their lives on the line for our benefit. The veterans of this country are brave and strong and heroic and we can't thank them enough.

One thing about Sandy is that it certainly got us all thinking about how important it is to have people who have your best interests in mind. We saw first hand how we couldn't have made it without them. And then you stop and think about how our veterans have been doing that for so long, and so often without an opportunity for us to thank them.

So, certainly thank a veteran since Veteran's Day is on our mind right now, and let's all try do it all year long. Veterans deserve that and so much more. Thank you veterans, for your sacrifices and for all you've done for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
