Last Tuesday we all got a real-life reminder of just how powerful mother nature can be.

While it was speculated that a tornado had touched down just east of the Ocean County Mall in Toms River, the National Weather Service has concluded that the only tornado Tuesday was in Normandy Beach.

Regardless, the wind associated with the storm caused damage and power outages throughout Toms River, Brick, and other areas of Monmouth and Ocean counties.

One of the images we were left with was that of a camper that was toppled over by the ferocious winds.
