When you saw the forecast at the end of last week, you knew it wasn't what local attractions and businesses wanted to hear. The weather certainly took it's toll on Sandy Hook

According to a report in nj.com, the weather through the first part of the weekend had attendance at Sandy Hook way down. It wasn't exactly beach weather, but officials there say that attendance was down to about 10% of it's normal due to the fall like weather and persistent winds.
Hopefully, the beautiful weather yesterday can give some optimism at a time when all local beaches, attractions and restaurants need the support of Mother Nature desperately this summer season.
All we can do is keep our fingers crossed that next weekend will be a lot more like yesterday and a lot less like Saturday and early Sunday.
