Now that we close the book on November, our attention turns to Christmas season, and that means the annual weather question. Will the Jersey Shore have a White Christmas?

There are some long range forecasts, so let's take a look at a couple of them.

Accuweather.com's long range forecast leaves the door open for some snow for Christmas. Here's the scoop according to them. Christmas Eve will be cloudy with an overnight low of 32 degrees. No snow in that forecast...but if one of those clouds acts up, then who knows, right?

They also say Christmas Day will be cloudy, but mild with a high close to 50 degrees. Weather.com's extended forecast only goes until mid-December, so we'll have to wait for their prediction, but they do remind us that the average daytime high is about 44 and the overnight low is in the upper 20's.

For the record, msn.com reports that NOAA predicts the percentage of chance for a White Christmas  this year in nearby cities and the probability isn't high, with only a 12% chance in New York, and only a 7.9% possibility in Philadelphia.

So the answer to the White Christmas question is the same as it always is on this date...who knows. Our meteorologist Dan Zarrow has never been a big fan of long range forecasts, so I guess we'll just have to wait like every other year with our fingers crossed.
