The Husky House wants your gently used shoes of all kinds. This is a win-win!

The Husky House is hoping to raise money through a special shoe drive by collecting gently used and new shoes, including sandals, boots, cleats, heels, sneakers, etc. They will donate these items to under-privileged children in Haiti.

And for every pound of shoes they donate, 40 cents will be donated to the Husky House. They have already collected about 700 pairs of shoes, but their goal is to collect 2,500 pairs. The main drop off location is at the Husky House, 391 Rt. 34 in Matawan, through May 31st.

But if this location isn't convenient for you, there is a second drop-off location in Howell, and you can find out about other possible drop off places by contacting Nicolette at soccerblondie11@optonline.net.

The Husky House in Matawan is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization committed to the rescue, shelter, care, and adoption of stray, abandoned and unwanted animals in the Tri-State area.
