5 Awesome Jersey Shore Spots to Take Wedding Photos

Hard to believe my wedding is just days away, and among the last batch of plans are the details on where we'll be taking pictures!

There are some beautiful places around the Jersey Shore to take wedding photos, and the possibilities are really endless, but we've created a list of 5 especially great spots!

My photographer, Cyndi Roberts, says these are her favorite places to shoot.

Deep Cut Gardens, Middletown
"There are so many different settings in one location, and there are stunning flowers which make for magical pictures. Plus, there's a spectacular stone gazebo and a koi pond. It's truly an amazing place to shoot."

Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk
"The boardwalk is fun but can also be romantic!" (Plus, it's a pretty unique spot for wedding photos.)

Bridges over Spring Lake
There are two footbridges over Spring Lake, one at Lake Ave at Mercer Ave., the other at Lake Ave. at 4th Ave. Cyndi adds, "It's so picturesque. The cherry blossoms, the bridge, and the fountains together all make for special photos."

Pier Village, Long Branch
"The white pavilion with a the beach as a backdrop makes this a really beautiful location to shoot. And the waves crashing behind the bride and groom as they exchange a dreamy kiss is so romantic!"

Asbury Park boardwalk
"It's a fun location to shoot and you can have the romantic beach photos or boardwalk pictures with that edgy, artsy vibe!"

Cyndi also has some tips on making sure your photos turn out great!

"Choose a location that suits your personality! If you hate sand in your shoes, the beach is not where you want to be - you don't want to look irritated in your pictures, you want to have fun and look the part!"
"Set up a timeline for your family photos, bridal party, and bride and groom pictures, and remember to include a time buffer to account for any 'hiccups' in the game plan." (The timeline also helps people know when they need to be in certain places, to ensure you're not running around looking for your crazy Uncle Larry when it's time for his picture.)
"Meet with your photographer! He or she will be with you the entire day, you want to be comfortable with them!" It also helps them get a feel for your personality and style.
"Create a Pinterest page of wedding photos and styles you like so your photographer has an idea of what kinds of pictures you like, and what you want." This should coincide with a "must have/important" photo shot list!

If the weather cooperates, I'm planning to take photos around Red Bank since it's where we live, where we got engaged, and well, just a place we love.

I'd also recommend Huddy Park in downtown Toms River...you'll find another footbridge and the beautiful Toms River in the background. Pretty!
