Can you name this Monmouth County native with some of the most Academy Award connections in the history of cinema? Of course you can.

Here's a little Academy Award history on one of Monmouth County's most famous men, and it's all very impressive.

He won the Best Actor Academy Awards in 1975 (One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest) and then again in 1997 (As Good As It Gets). He was also nominated for the same honor in 1970 (Five Easy Pieces),1973 (The Last Detail),1974 (Chinatown),1985 (Prizzi's Honor) and 1987 (Ironweed).

Overall, he has 12 nominations, including a third Oscar (for best supporting actor in 1983's Terms of Endearment), making him the most nominated male actor in the history of, well acting. And just think, it all started in Neptune New Jersey. So as we celebrate the Academy Awards this weekend remember that one of the best all time is one of our own, New Jersey. Jack Nicholson, we honor you!
