Two days of Hops and Hogs this weekend at the Historic Village of Allaire!

This is the third annual Allaire BBQ & Brew Fest and this time I am going! I will be there Sunday from 11 am - 2 pm while the band my son is in entertains you.

It's this Saturday and Sunday, April 28th and 29th, 11 am - 5 pm. There will be a beer and wine garden, award-winning BBQ, historic craft demonstrations in the Village from the blacksmith, Carpenter, Tinsmith, and more...plus interactive activities at the historic Row House and Blast Furnace.

You'll also find unique crafters, 18th and 19th Century games, hearth cooking at the Manager's House and 'baking program' at the Bakery....all things that make the Historic Village of Allaire such a great and unusual place to spend time.

Period-dressed historic interpreters will enhance your step back in time as you enjoy live music, great food, and a gorgeous park. Bring a chair if you want to just sit and watch the bands! The band my son plays drums in is called "Marel Hidalgo and the Stone Feathers. CLICK HERE and HERE to find out more about them! You may have heard about Marel on Harry Connick's show!

All of the historic homes and buildings will be open for tours, with story-telling at the Enameling Building.

And the best part is that your money goes to a great cause. All funds benefit the non-profit Historic Village at Allaire to support educational programming. General admission is $10 per person. Children under 18 are free! (Tickets for beer and wine will be sold in the Beer and Wine Garden.)

You are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. CLICK HERE for tickets.

No coolers will be allowed inside the park this weekend during the event.

And keep in mind that you can always ride your bike to the event via the amazing bike trail that runs from Manasquan to Allaire. It's called the Edgar Felix Bike Path. CLICK HERE for all the details about that!
