The Super Bowl means big parties, big interviews, big plays and big amounts of food getting consumed, The numbers may amaze you.

Check out the estimates for Super Bowl food consumption we found at pursuitist.com. I love this one. If you spread the amount of guacamole consumed on Super Bowl Sunday across a football field, it would measure 11.8 feet deep.

You can scoop that guacamole up with the 293,000 miles of potato chips eaten (if you lay them end to end) and wash it down with some of the 325.5 million gallons of beer that will be downed that day. By the way, you can fill up 493 Olympic sized pools with that much beer.

And if chips aren't your snack of choice, you can grab a handful of the 1 billion wings that will be eaten. And remember to reach into the bowl and get your share of the 8 million pounds of popcorn that will be eaten.

And if you are thinking about skipping work on Monday, you will be joined by 7 million other Americans. At least the Giants, Jets and Eagles aren't in the game. That would only add to our indigestion, right? Hey, maybe we can throw in a carrot or piece of celery once in a while. It might make us feel a little better about the whole thing.
