Brick Plaza on Route 70 and Chambers Bridge Road is about to get revamped entirely -- and much more intensely than we thought.

Matt Ryan filled you in that the plaza was getting a few new additions including a Michael's, LA Fitness, HomeGoods, and additional parking spaces.

But as it turns out, it is going to be way more than that. The $25 million renovation is aiming to give a Brick a "downtown-like" area where people can gather with "an eclectic mix of stores, restaurants, and even a boardwalk," according to APP.com.

"It is the 'closest we will ever get' to a Main Street atmosphere in Brick," said Mayor John Ducey according to APP.com. "We want to make it is a destination for people to enjoy. From what they are proposing, it seems like they are going to succeed."

So in addition to the new stores already promised, Brick residents can look forward to a Tre Pizza Pasta Beer Garden, Rosalita's Roadside Cantina, a Boardwalk, and fresh new facades on various locations including Ikko Steakhouse along Cedar Bridge Avenue to give the space a fresh new feel.
