I love Leggett's and I will always love Leggett's. Earlier this week after Gov. Murphy imposed tighter restrictions on bars and restaurants, state officials revealed that nine bartenders and servers at Leggett's in Manasquan contracted COVID-19. Anyone who visited the bar from Oct. 17 to Oct. 22 might have been exposed to the virus but no other cases have been reported. I do wish great health for those who contracted the virus. It's unfortunate to see Leggett's and all local businesses go through a tough time. Operating a business in a COVID-19 world is simply not fair.

My reason for this article is that I don't think we should point the finger or blame Leggett's for an unfortunate outbreak. After months of COVID-19 restrictions, we all want to "let our hair down" even though it might not be the ideal thing to do. Leggett's is an iconic Jersey Shore bar and we are all in this together. I know I can't wait to be back playing Thursday night BINGO! LIKE Leggett's on Facebook by clicking this link.

Thanks to great news this week, I think we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Pfizer says an early peek at its vaccine data suggests that the shots may be 90% effective at preventing COVID-19. If that holds true, we can only hope COVID-19 is a memory by the middle of 2021. Jersey Shore restaurants and bars will be back and better than ever. JERSEY PRIDE...LET'S GO! - Jimmy G
