It's not just a Monday at the Jersey Shore, it's a rainy Monday. And the rainy weather could bring some significant storms today.

Meteorologist Dan Zarrow says that the strongest storms today could certainly cause flooding, as well as gusty winds and the potential for hail. Storms yesterday produced over 5 inches of rain in parts of Central Jersey.

The showers and thunderstorms should continue into tonight, and more rain is in the forecast for tomorrow (Tuesday) but by then we should be beyond the threat of severe weather. Dan says flash flooding is a real possibility today.
