There are families right here at the Jersey Shore who are battling pediatric cancer, and one incredible local charity is helping them in that fight.

This week, to raise awareness and money for the cause, a friend of mine is living on a billboard in Toms River.

It's the annual Ocean of Love Radiothon, and Andy Chase from 105.7 the Hawk is on that billboard as I type, trying to raise money for these families in need.

Andy's been up there 24/7 since Monday afternoon, and will stay there until Friday, by which time they will have hopefully met the fundraising goal of $105,700, all of which will go right to Ocean of Love!

Ocean of Love is a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Toms River. They assist Ocean County families with financial and emotional support so that they can continue to lead a 'normal' life while their kids are going through cancer treatment.

If you want to make a donation, there are a couple of ways to do it. You can stop by in person at the billboard, which is in the Target/Lowe's parking lot off of Hooper Ave. in Toms River. You can also donate online at oceanoflove.org or by phone at 877-HAWK-1057.

They even have auction items you can bid on, and again, all the money will go to Ocean of Love.

When they say every penny counts, they mean it, so even if you can stop by and donate a quarter, it will help!
